Today, we had the first lot of feedback sessions with secretaries and lawyers since starting the new system. For the most part, it went really well. We did have one lawyer this morning announce that he was abusing the system and would continue to do so but he clearly doesn't realise that a) everyone thought he sounded like an arse; and b) he's not going to be allowed to continue to abuse the situation. Other than that though, we had lots of really good suggestions and positive feedback, which was great. Tomorrow, I'm off down to Truro for the day. We have our team meeting in the morning and then there are two more sessions in the afternoon although I'm not going to those - I'm going to clear some jobs from the system instead, I think.
I really want to do some ranting and raving about the England cricket situation but I'm actually feeling exhausted this evening for some reason, and so it's going to have to wait until tomorrow. Oh, but I must just mention that David at work told me yesterday that he thinks the fact that Steve and Fred always have adjoining rooms on tour is (and I quote) "a bit gay". Yes, David. Tell us something we didn't know...
And I must just quickly mention two snippets from Scott Mills which made me laugh out loud the past couple of days. Yesterday, on What's Occuring they were asking people to do kangaroo noises. And also to describe them. One bloke's description of a kangaroo was simply "It's got ears..." And then this morning they were playing a clip of Tim Westwood who was showing people around his walk-in wardrobe. "This is a walk-in wardrobe," he announced. "Understand what that means. It's a wardrobe, that you walk into." Oookayyyy....
And on that daft note, I'm off to my bed for some much needed sleep.
Nighty nighty!
